The Florence Area Humane Society, located in Florence, Oregon, is made up of volunteers dedicated to assisting homeless or abused companion animals in our area.  We also seek to educate people about such animal-related issues as cruelty and pet overpopulation.

Our operating budget, which includes no tax dollars, is derived primarily from donations and the profits of our Bay Street Thrift Shop.  Additional budget sources include fund-raisers, grants, and member dues.

Ink Jet and Laser Cartridge Recycle Program:  Don't throw away empty ink jet and laser cartridges.  Send or bring them to the shelter to help us earn money for pet related needs.  Not all cartridges are recyclable; at this time we do not accept any ink jet cartridges made by or for Epson printers.

Some of our animals can be seen and adopted in Eugene on most Saturdays and Sundays at PETsMART (2847 Chad Dr.) from 10am to 4pm.  Volunteers needed to help.
